Epsom salt detox bath experience 🔥✅🌟

Standard

For a long time I had wanted to try epsom salts and dead Sea salts. A friend of mine recommended detox baths etc, they said they felt dizzy leaving the bath and I thought it must be all make believe because how could it work ?

Now after my experience I am a believer !😂IMG_20170720_225405_349.jpg

So I picked up some epsom salts in napiers the herbalists, and had the first bath. During it I did become very tired and relaxed almost sedated at one point and then nothing… after I came out I felt drained a little and had to lie down, then later on in the evening I felt the calmest I had been in weeks and also everything seemed brighter and I felt more alert.

The package I had was small but I had more for another bath, round two 😅😜

The second one was very different I didn’t feel relaxed as I had the first one but I sweated a little more than usual during it. Afterward my skin looked fab 😁 and omg I had to lie down straight after I felt so relaxed as if I had drunk whiskey. It was a fantastic floaty peacefully feeling !🌟😍

I would recommend epsom salts to anyone now 😝 I’d love to hear others experiences or uses for epsom salts. As I have read online it can treat multiple ailments 🔥

Colour Summer Blogger Event at St Enoch Centre

Standard

stenochglasgow

Some of Glasgow’s top Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle Bloggers enjoyed an evening of previewing new and existing products available within the st enoch centre, there were also racks and stalls of the latest summer fashion pieces on display which are available from all the outlets within the mall. It was a fantastic evening and I had a great time !

The food table and flower display was gorgeous, there was plenty of champagne to go around. Everyone had a great time trying on makeup from no7, smashbox, kat von d etc. We also got some samples to take home from some of the brands. Id never saw or heard of some products like the dr murad sunscreen which I thought was really impressive and I also discoverd shades of lipgloss I never thought were possible at the NYX table. It was fantastic chatting to the professionals about all things beauty and lifestyle!

Brakes For Beauty

One of my first “brakes for beauty” (even though I didn’t know that is what I would be calling it at the time) happened in 2015 and was at Donaldson Farms in Hackettstown, New Jersey. It is a farm that grows sunflowers – fields and fields of sunflowers. The reason I had “braked” that week was because of my grandmother. She has passed away at 93 years old. To give you an idea of who she was …

Now, knowing my grandmother – she would tell me to take five minutes to cry then to get up, wash my face, and move on. She had a tough love mentality, but I think independence is one of the most selfless gifts a person could give to their children (or grandchildren). It reminds me of a quote by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are…

Relationships, Marriage, and Lasting Love Are Being Killed By Our Generation

Emilee: Unfiltered

If you’rein yourtwenties you know exactly what I mean when I say this.

Relationships are a dying thing in today’s society. Who needs to be in a committed relationship that requires effort when we have a way to easily replace someone when the going gets tough?

The more social media and the internet progresses the less important finding “the one” becomes.

I mean lets get real here, with the amount of dating websites and social media networks we have now it’s so easy to find someone to occupy our time. All it takes is a swipe of a finger. Then boom. You’re in bed with someone. Well, maybe not in bed with them but you get the idea.

Our idea of a relationship tends to go a little something like this: See an attractive photo of someone on twitter, facebook, instagram, snapchat, ect. “Slide into the dm’s” Talk for a…

Health benefits of adding strawberries to your diet

Standard

One cup of sliced strawberries provides 163% of your daily dose of vitamin C (more than a whole orange) and 12% Daily Value (DV) of fiber, as well as 9% DV of the B vitamin folate. Its amazing what just one fruit can do for your life ! I hope this inspires you to eat more fruit in the future.

strawberry

Strawberries are considered one of the healthiest fruits. They are packed with antioxidants, lower blood pressure and protect your heart. Packed with essential vitamins and minerals.

The anthocyanins boost short term memory by 100 percent in eight weeks. (The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry)

Flavonoids — which are responsible for the colour and flavour of strawberries — lower the risk for heart disease.

The compound nitrate found promotes blood flow and oxygen in our body, which is great for weight loss.

Strawberries contain anthrocyanin, which is a powerful antioxidant that protects us from the damaging effects of our environment, especially the sun. The antioxidant power of the anthrocyanins found in strawberries lasts up to 24 hours after consumption; this makes them a great defence against free radical damage.

Why do I put so much pressure on myself?

Standard

Discovering Sooz

Reading a magazine and it refers to ‘societies pressures’ I found it relatively ironic as it was filled with more than likely airbrushed (albeit beautiful) unattainable images.

Whilst I feel, like everyone, I assume, societies pressures but I feel like the pressures I put on myself are far higher.

Im 29 and I feel like I know nothing… I can’t contour my face, I don’t know a lot about politics, my nails aren’t 100% perfect EVER! I feel like I constantly need to grow up and learn about EVERYTHING.

Curiosity might have killed the cat,but I feel like comparison to everyone and everything will surely kill me!

I see ages in magazines next to women who have accomplished so much.. and I was just happy to have made it through the day without an anxiety attack.

I know it’s quite difficult for me to see my own positives. It’s…
